SERVICE ENGINEER/BENCH TECH: KRCR and KAEF, Redding, CA
KRCR and KAEF are seeking a candidate to serve as the primary administrator for computer
systems of broadcast subsystems and of the company computer system network and to service,
maintain and document the status, condition, confirguration changes of broadcast equipment and
report what upgrades are needed for field locations that exist outside the main KRCR studios.
Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, this person will often work and travel independently to
service various site locations owned and operated by California Broadcasting, including KRCR and
KAEF facilities. When not in the field, this person will be assigned to a team position in upgrading
documentation and performance testing broadcast equipment. Required qualifications include the
ability to communicate technical information quickly, accurately and effectively using 2-way radio,
telephone and computer software keyboard systems; knowledge of broadcast systems mainte-
nance and repair, Microsoft Office products, broadcast equipment and computer interface capabili-
ties. Candidate should be a self-directed problem solver and communicator of complicated
technical information, a good driver, a good representative of the station to vendors and clients.
